We had a wonderful stay at Purdy Lodge! The breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious, with a fantastic buffet. The dinner options were equally impressive, especially the slow-roasted rib of beef and roast lamb Sunday dinner. Our room was quiet and had a lovely view of the fields. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even fitting us in for an evening meal without a reservation. The location was ideal for visiting Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle. we were thoroughly satisfied with our experience.
Can recommend this hotel.

As longer-term business travelers, we appreciated the warm and inviting atmosphere of the hotel, with good instructions and a clean and well-maintained environment. Despite its proximity to the A1, we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of road noise and enjoyed peaceful nights' sleep. the location was convenient for visiting nearby attractions such as Alnwick, Berwick, Holy Island, and Seahouses, and the view of the coast and Bamburgh Castle from our room was a bonus. the staff were friendly and accommodating, promptly addressing any issues we had, such as a faulty TV remote and a bedside light that wasn't working. Fresh towels each day and the flexibility of dining options at the hotel restaurant or the neighboring cafe were also appreciated. our stay at Purdy Lodge was a suitable replacement for the closed hotel, providing all the necessary amenities for our longer-term business trip.
Felt like relaxing at home, no reason to complain.

I recently stayed at Purdy Lodge for a few nights during a long journey. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were lovely and friendly. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that they went above and beyond by making me a special dish, even though they already had vegetarian options on the menu. The location was great, as it was close to Holy Island and Bamburgh, both of which are must-see attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stopover.
I do recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely stopover at Purdy Lodge during our journey south. The check-in was simple and efficient, with a friendly receptionist on duty. Our room on the ground floor was clean and cozy, and the heating was on, making it a welcome retreat on a chilly day. The cafe was a delightful part of the building, and the staff there were friendly and helpful. The food, especially the beef stew, was top-notch. We had a comfortable night's sleep in a bed that was incredibly comfortable, and the room had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast the next morning, made with local produce, was delicious and served by a pleasant waitress. Well done, everyone at Purdy Lodge! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Scotland.

For our Christmas stay, we found two positives about our experience. First, the location was key as it was conveniently situated near the motorway. Second, the breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including porridge, cereals, toast, and both English and vegetarian breakfasts. This made it easy for everyone in our group to find something they enjoyed. the staff was friendly and efficient, making our stay more enjoyable.
There were a couple of disappointments during our stay. the room we booked had two single beds pushed together, which was not what we expected.

The homemade breakfast was delicious and generous.
Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel's location was very convenient, with easy access to numerous attractions in the area. the extensive menu at the restaurant and cafe offered a wide variety of enjoyable options. the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay more pleasant.
The lack of air conditioning in the rooms made sleeping uncomfortable, especially during warmer weather. the quality of some food items, like the toast and sausage, could be improved.

During our romantic escape, we were pleased with the stunning countryside views that greeted us from our room. It was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of city life. We also appreciated the fact that the hotel was conveniently located near the main road, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. we found it wonderful that they allowed pets, as we were able to bring our furry friend along with us on our getaway.
There were a few aspects of our stay that left us less satisfied. the room we were assigned was quite small and could use some updating.
